At this point you will be asked to type in your privacy settings. This helps you to protect your family from identity fraud, and your children from chat room grooming.
PICstick allows you to prevent sensitive information such as your address, the name of your children’s school, family telephone numbers, credit card details or any other personal information from being sent out by your computer.
This means that whether your child is using e-mail, messenger services or chat rooms, all sensitive information will be blocked. If your child (or anyone else) attempts to type in any of the information you have chosen to block, the PICstick will ensure this information is not passed on to another computer. The receiving computer will see the information replaced with asterisks (e.g. *********).
If any attempts are made to pass on these details, the PICstick will then alert you that there has been a violation, so you can discuss it with your child.
